Hi I'm Claire McConville, the artist behind Bumpkin illustrations. Ever since I was a little girl, I had a passion for drawing and making things with my hands. I pursued my artistic dreams by studying Art & Design and then Interior and Furniture design in DIT College. I worked as an interior designer for a while, but then life took a different turn and I became an Executive Assistant. I enjoyed the challenge of being organized and efficient, but I never stopped loving colour and design.

When I had my two boys, Ben & Matthew I started drawing pictures for their rooms and soon other people wanted me to draw pictures for them too or wanted them for gifts. As a busy working Mum I would draw at night when the boys were in bed or at the kitchen table. I started to post my drawings on Instagram to show myself I had completed something for me and to create a little portfolio for me to look back on. With the great support and encouragement I have set up my own website to make it easier for people to purchase paintings & prints. I hope you like it.
